location of the heater windscreen timer relay on 2002 TD5
Hi All

after consulting various posts and the manual, i was expecting the HFS timer relay to be in the area under the seat. But its not there. its a 2002 uk TD5 SW, would it be behind the dash ?

Goes without saying the HFS is not working, the button light turns on and goes out again (so maybe not the timer, but no power to the screen) any ideas. I have checked the fuses in the main box, they look ok .

How can i check the timer relay, would it turn off the tail tail if it was faulty ?

thanks
john

Does it do this with the engine running as well? The timer will only engage with the engine running and the oil pressure light off.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

thanks, thats what i was afraid of.

Yup i have read that it only works with engine running and correct oil temp. Sounds like i need to start replacing the relays !

Nothing to do with oil temperature. It’s oil pressure. Once the oil pressure switch opens (oil warning lamp off, i.e. engine running) then the timer will operate the relay.

Instrument pack removal is 4 screws Smile  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
