Does anyone have any thoughts on the stated payload for each axle? 300 and something kg for the front, and 900 and something kg for the rear. How does that compare to a 110 and a 130?

Maximum axle weights are a lot higher for Defenders. A 110 is 1250kg/1980kg, front/rear and a 130 is 1580kg/2200kg. Darren

Those aren't the Grenadier max axle weights. They are the payload, i.e. how much it can carry on top of the weight of the vehicle itself. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I don't think you need an account or anything? Just click the link to watch.

Taking your figures for the 110, 1250kg + 1980kg = 3,230kg

For the Grenadier, I thought they just quoted the combined at 3,500kg ~ which was the same as the towing capacity, and then the train weight was said to be 7,000kg.

Not sure what happens with the trailer nose weight?

That's not the way axle weights work - you can't just add them up to get the gross vehicle weight. For a 110, for example, it's typically 3050kg.

You can see the Defender specs. here:

Ah, fair enough. I haven't seen axle weights presented like that before and can't find comparative figures for a Defender. Darren

That’s not what I've done, all the above was talking about axle weights and what the engineer in the video said. No mention of gross vehicle weight.

You appear to have misunderstood the video details when talking about payload/additional weight vs Defender axle weights...

I haven't misunderstood the video as I haven't watched it yet. I was merely responding to the figures that were posted, which all seemed to make sense at the time Rolling Eyes Darren
