Whereas the next specification of IP68 means they must be sealed and endure much longer times in water.

I fitted an ip67 LED brake light a couple of years ago, and that is now misting up.

Agree its a hell of a lot of money for a pair of headlamps, when you can get 7" sealed beams halogen headlamps for about £7 each. I think in many ways this is the joke with LED's, although the light output and current draw on the latest range of light bars is phenomenal compared to similarly priced halogen light bars.

Do the retailers just replace ip67 lamps if they leak water ?
