What Coolant Liquid
I have just, in a moment of total madness, bought a 110 SW E 2.4TD from 2008. (55900 km)

So fare I have only been driving it from the dealer to my home – 12.5 km

The level in the coolant reservoir is not at the mark it should be (Cold)

(The car come from Madrid where it is very hot during the summer)

1) How can I identify the used cooling liquid?
2) Can I top up with water?
3) Is the Havoline Texaco XLC the right one for the Puma?

Thank you very much in anticipation! Bow down

Should be OAT type coolant, which is orange in colour.

You can top it up with water, but ideally you should be adding a 1:1 mix of water and OAT coolant.

And yes, the official coolant is the Havoline/Texaco XLC.

I use this: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-903-motul-inug...reeze.aspx I found that it's pretty much as close to what is standard use. Also forum discount too. Thumbs Up

at a LR dealer the part number for the correct coolant is STC50529.
Don't mix OAT antifreeze with the standard stuff you'd get in a garage as I have been told it turns to porridge !
