Not sure if there is a thread on this already but Photobucket are wiping out people's pictures on forums etc demanding (for me anyway) $399 per year to get them back. They earn through adverts with a choice for the user to pay extra, no problem with that but it is very inconsiderate to just wipe people's pictures out without any warning. I won,t be held to ransom and won,t be paying such a massive amount.
Thankfully it appears pictures in this forums gallery are not effected, good on you Martin it has saved the day but made a mess of forum pictures and some threads. I wonder if I can get. My personal pictures back off them. This has the info. http://photobucket.com/p500/ Last edited by Zagato on 30th Jun 2017 9:22am. Edited 1 time in total |

That's a bloody nuisance. I'd recently stopped putting new pictures onto Photobucket as it kept crashing but I've got lots of older ones still on there for display both here and disco3.co.uk. I can see me having to work my way back through and move them here Darren

Been given a link to the issue on PistonHeads, seems as though many people are being affected daily. Whole technical threads being made useless without the pictures. They are all saying they are leaving Photobucket. This will mess up many forums as well

It's (or was) just a convenient place to host pictures for use on forums like this. They'd be a poorer place if there was nothing to look at Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? I've never been that smitten with that site if I'm honest.
I always keep my own back up and if I use a sharing site if ever that sort of thing happens they can just get stuffed. I wouldn't suggest anyone relies on an exterior source fully for media storage. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

My Photobucket account seems unaffected. I only pay them about $5 a year for advert removal.

I've always used Google, I pay about $1.50 a month and I'll never load enough photos to fill half of the capacity, no bs adverts either!!
