Mike - Glad to see you’re back! Your bit on finding the right gearbox mounts was invaluable and saved me cash when I was reusing bits from my LT77 and R380 D1 gearbox mounts 👍 JB

Glad I could make the mistakes for you Laughing

On the engine above... it had an air con pump fitted hence the smooth type pulley and long belt. After a bit of trial and error I used the ribbed pulley and a smaller belt and it worked fine

Wiring wiring wiring. By far the biggest ball ache of the build and the part id been avoiding tbh. had some help on this but would like to redo some of it already! and its not yet finished lol. It takes an absolute age to do the loom so it fits nicely and looks OEM not a bodge job. Not easy on megasquirt when you just get a load of wire and a diagram!

2 hours work on this tank/gearbox loom alone.

So I think I remember saying the suspension was a little tall, but after finally fitting the wings back on I think its riding like a monster truck. These are as specced by glynn lewis but its not right. Ive ended replacing all 4 springs with standard height ones.

Next up, the interior. I had visions of a very spartan interior for off roading but as the build has been coming together I fancied something a bit fancier. I was going to get the dash retrimmed by a proper upholsterer but lockdown had just started and decided to have a go myself, nothing ventured lol. It could all have gone pear shaped but it didnt look that bad tbh. Definately easier than you think and cost me £20 in vinyl off ebay.

So after some mulling, I eventually bought some exmoor trim modular seats which must have been an unwanted special order. Got them for a good price, and thought they were in vinyl. Surprised they were actually tan leather with white stitch, very nice. Even got seats heaters! Not got a good pic but you can see the new seat base and the vinyl I chose to compliment.

First off the cubbie.

Not a total disaster and 2 hour well spent. Had to fabricate the centre part of the dash as id previously had fitted a raptor dash with the cut out.
