Why the ISOFIX worry - how old are your kids? We put both of ours in a Td5 with no worries - the "standard" Maxi Cosi baby seat fits without need for ISOFIX and then as they grow up, the rotating one does not need it either. We put an easy base in on seatbelts & it was then just drop in & out - easy! http://www.johnlewis.com/maxi-cosi-easybas...=231326865 This one for when they get a bit older: http://www.johnlewis.com/maxi-cosi-tobi-ca...n/p1829344 All done without ISOFIX! Our daughter is still being measured in weeks!
Thanks for the tip with the Easybase - we have a MaxiCosi in our car (on an Isofix base!) so that will be handy. |

Finally got round to sorting the sheared rear mudflap/wing fixing and decided to reinforce the other side at the same time. Now I've finally got round to posting it too!
Ally angle from B&Q, knackered several hacksaw blades cutting it, suspect I had the wrong ones Also you can see the totally seized and sheared bolt originally fitted by LR. I was shocked when I saw this, as even to a mechanical novice like me it's just plain stupid... Then I remembered I was probably looking at a piece of design from the black nadir of British automotive history. Click image to enlarge A new experience for me, pop rivets. Never used one before but I understood the principle and gave it a bash. Also shiny new bolts etc. Click image to enlarge Completed job. Happy man, all for about a tenner (if I exclude the pop riveter, rivets, new hacksaw blades and metal drill bits ) Click image to enlarge |

The mudflap design is stupid. One of mine fell off, fixed it then the other fell off. I've now got the Gwyn Lewis kit that also stops mud being blasted in to the rear crossmember but I haven't had a full day off to do it yet. |
