Lying is sadly a way of life, half-truths or as people like to use the words whites lies, as if to justify or sanitizing their dishonesty is just as bad. But our brains have developed over many thousands of years the ability to tell things that are not true.
The odd thing is, that to lie, uses a part of the brain specially developed to do so, and that same part of the brain is where lies are stored and is not connected to our usual memory, that is why people find it hard to remember lies and why weeks later because they cannot recall what they said they get caught out. |

Just popped up to Tunbridge Wells to drop the girlfriend off at work and then find a space to park to exchange some shoes for a size that fits.
May as well have been looking for a needle in a haystack because everyone had forgotten how to park sensibly or everywhere was full so after 30 mins of looking I dropped her off, declared sod it and then went home via the A21 where I parked for 45mins waiting to move. How is it that people with the smallest cars have the least perception of how big a space they need! There was a space which could have fitted 3 110s in it and it was occupied by one Suzuki swift and one Honda jazz parked so that nothing could use the spaces around them. There's a car park down Camden Road, past the bike shop, that usually has spaces and has a high enough bar to allow 110's in (at 2.05 metres car height).

Home today after covering one of my drivers holidays to find 2 reminders from DVLA that road tax is due.
1. Land Rover Diesel car-£500 per annum 2. Daf 7500kg road sweeper -£165 per annum Land Rover does approx. 150 miles per week @ roughly 25mpg=6 gallons per week Daf does 45 hrs per week @ 4mpg=110 gallons per week Oh and the reminder actually states that the Daf is "ROAD FRIENDLY" WTF Steve |

Bollards!
Or to more accurate councils that don't replace the light bulbs in them so you can actually see them or the traffic islands they are sat on. In the same vein - street lights, I have a sneaky suspicion the are not replacing lamps to save on the 'leccy. Barbara |

Break in on 28th December, £25k of kit stolen from the barns. Reported to Police at 0800 that morning, no attendance, one phone call to fill the forms out.
Told them about neighbours CCTV, one of which will have the on it. Have they been to see them, have they ****. They are quite happy to sit by the side of the road in their Volvo's nicking drivers for minor offences but are they interested in theft, it appears not. Just want to fill the forms out and hand out a crime number. Mainly because they know the kit has been taken to a caravan site somewhere and they are not going to cross the border onto it even if they do know the kit is in there. Do we now have to do our own policing if we want to protect what we have worked hard to buy? If we do we would probably get nicked for using "unreasonable force", the theiving bast**ds would end up being the victims and we would get prosecuted. This bloody country is going to the dogs. What do I pay my taxes for anyway. Rant over. I feel much better now. Thanks for listening,. |

Don't put up with it, ring the Force HQ and make a complaint about the lack of investigation and point out the cctv is available. If you are still not happy ring the local crime commissioner and complain.
Its a pity I never worked in your area, I loved the look on the faces as the caravan door flew past them. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |
