I find down here it's the other way around, people behind take one look at a Defender and think oooooh that's slow I'll purposefully overtake.
Then attempt to with out the room or road to do so and bully their way infront of me before they run out of road.
And It definitely is because they make an assumption on sight, it's nearly always only euro boxes that do it.
Same with roundabouts, when watching and giving way to the right given the chance make a go for it to beat you to it.
Then when it comes to they have a big shock! A tuned 90 Puma does not hang around. Whistle

The politically correct answer is probably because they assume that Landrovers always are driven slowly.

The honest answer is because they're gormless fools whose driving ability, hazard perception, judgement, and ability to assess speed and distance are all so inadequate that they should never have been allowed to pass a driving test - the people make up a significant proportion of current UK drivers.

Since I installed DRL’s I have not had the problem as much. I can only think that the DRL’s make the Land Rover more visible. So I think the reason is that some drivers are totally blind to a big lump of metal bearing down on them.

I did once read on one of those funny Insurance claims forms websites that a person drove into the side of a Land Rover his excuse was the Land Rover was camouflaged painted so I did not see it. Whistle

My gripe today, well several

1. People who blatently lie. Even when they know you will check what they've said
2. People on FB, who just comment with a persons name. Either make a comment or say nothing.
3. People who lie
4. People who insist on being happy this time of year. It's only christmas. I don't get what all the fuss is about
5. People who lie.
6. Driving instructors who park across my front drive. Even though it's a dropped curb. They should know better. So I make a point of going out and moving 1 of my vehicles.
7. People who lie 110 D250 SE HT
