I'm sold on the idea, just need to justify the cost at the moment! My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

While I was away for 6 months my 19 yo son installed one of these in my MY15 without Dad's permission:-
https://www.seicane.com/android-radio-gps-...sd-s168600 I was FURIOUS! ... but after a few days I became quite impressed, especially after the kid upgraded the O/S to Version 7 and installed steering wheel controls to match the headunit. The system now has wireless rearview camera, wireless tyre pressure monitors "TPMS", absolutely PERFECT voice command systems & DAB as well as perfectly useless stuff like in car TV, OBDII etc I moved the microphone to the top of the a-frame near the sun visor, and it works perfectly over there I already bought a double din for the truck which I have not bothered installing because the 1-din system does everything I want. The hidden hazard on the dash is not a problem but the air con does sometimes freeze up at the back of the monitor. My unit can fold the screen away and operate 100% on voice commands anyway, so who needs a screen. After the novelty of having a 2-Din screen in the truck wore off I find I use voice for 90% of my needs and the screen is only used on rare occasions - who needs a screen anyway if you can operate perfectly adequately on wheel controls and voice? Am I "lucky" to have a kid like that or should I take a whip to him? ****CENSORED**** |

Typically earthed in most cases, however, just to be sure check it for voltage. I trust you won't have visual video playing on the move anyway.. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I understand the pioneer system is a little more complex in that it needs to see a combination of ground-open-ground (to signal handbrake on, off, back on) there are companies that make a bypass solution.
It also locks out certain menu options etc - not just video in motion. Anyway, very very pleased with it Click image to enlarge My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

Brian, I followed your advice and since grounding the handbrake wire (it must be grounded when the unit is powered up, not after) then it works - strange but good!
Anyway using the unit all day today and Im so chuffed with it - fantastic / ticks all the boxes My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |
