Finally installed. Quite a job! Lots of fiddling and many wires. But what a difference ! Took me about 3 hours but it isn't straightforward as the wires are in the way of the rear metal bracket slightly. But it does go. The Dab module was also tricky to locate. I may have to re work it to make it more friendly to remove and replace. But very happy so far. I have to set the screen angle aswell. If anyone wants details of the install just pm me.

Top job. Did you use a DAB/FM splitter with the original LR aerial.

Hi. The supplied box allows re use of the defender aerial for standard fm. The dab antenna is required but is not supplied with the kit. Brian. 2015 90 XS Santorini Black

Collected one of these yesterday. Just need abit of time now to get it installed. There does appear to be a mighty cluster of wires to get in behind the dash somehow!

What options do you have for adjusting the screen angle, and do you know what the range of angle possible is? Thanks, Steve |

Update........ I have now had the unit in the car for a few days and managed to set it up properly in relation to the screen adjustment and also just getting used to how it all works. I am pleased to say that it has fullfiled my requirements completely, In particular I like the fac tthe screen is higher up than the standard double din setup and this makes it easier to see. (in my opinion). The screen can be set to tilit and slide in and out as you need and it just perfect with a slight tilt to the front of the car.
When the screen is out, It does cover up the two inner switches but currently I have swaped them about so the inner ones are the fog and DSC switch. both of which are hardly used.....same for the hazzard switch. Considering moving theese to a Mud Puma pod on the dash top...... The screen is also remarkably stable given the crashing and banging inside the car The install was quite difficualt trying to accomodate all the cables that come attached to the unit and I am going to pull it out again to improve the fitment in and out. I ran out of time at the weekend....... Need to get a DAB antenna and also to create a good final location for theaerial amp that is supplied. cheers for now.. Brian. 2015 90 XS Santorini Black |

Fitted mine today along with a DAB/FM splitter for the original arial. Works perfectly on DAB and only heard one crackle while driving where the signal got lost for a second.

Apart from the £280 saving and not hacking your dashboard to mount the switches you have to move, and this way you can put the car back to standard.
