As did I. I wasn't so in love with the price though! Especially for the amount of information that I was given.

There's a compound-charged tdi kit somewhere I've seen (twin turbo one feeding the other) would that be it? It looked:twisted:
I can imagine it's awesome giving v8's a run for their money in a heavily boosted tdi L110CDL, thanks for the kind words buddy! I have no idea what I'm doing really though mate |

It was a compound set up.
And some heavily tuned td5s too. Can't wait to see the water injection! |

I can't remember the price nor find the emails exchanged. But the price was horrendous. Especially when you think that it's only 2 turbos and some custom pipe work. I appreciate that getting the manifold right would take some time but still, when you think that for the price of the kit you could buy a td5, stroke it to 2.8, custom rods, coated Pistons the full works. Then it was a bit of a non-starter.
I'd love to make a compound kit but I don't have the manifold skills or the time. |

Many thanks for the reply, i know what you mean about having the skills to do what you want, which i'm lacking i'm trying to go down the Tdi route, no electronics. Apart from you guys on this very interesting thread , my only option is a Brazilian 300 Tdi or a full Turner engine, so i'm still looking 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

With the water injection I'm thinking of drilling and tapping the front of the intake manifold to fit the spray nozzle, instead of putting into the intercooler pipes. Will do a full write up on that if anyone's interested, not sure if it'll be worth it but the theory's proven, and apparently water/meth injection has a steam-cleaning effect
Nothing on an om606 I'm sure, I'd love to see if a GM 6.5 turbo diesel V8 would fit in my 90 Pic: Oil return on sump pretty solid now Click image to enlarge |

L110CDL Probably one of the best things about a Tdi, that you can easily tweak and fix it with a box of spanners and never have electrical gremlins
I think for the cost of the Brazilian 2.8 they are expensive for not much more output. I think they're quite love hate. Yes! The meth injection is the most exciting part because I know nothing about it. That and it sounds cool as hell! Do you know how much water to put in or is it another thing that will just need tweaking bit by bit to find the sweet spot?? Have you bought a kit? Also think this thread should be kept well informed for other Tdi owners. What works, what doesn't, how-to etc. I have never seen such a mad Tdi thread where owners are doing more than fuel pump adjustments. |

It's a kit by Devilsown, after thinking about it for a while and costing things up individually I just went for the easy option at £300 A lot but you gotta pay to play I guess!! Plus I just want to say I've got a 200tdi with meth injection and nitrous because it's fun haha
Will post some pics of the water injection setup tonight if you're interested |

When I ordered the kit the guy said it'd come with a nozzle suitable for a (diesel) engine in the region of 200hp but I'll find the nozzle size later

Many thanks for both your replys
Boost they did put the V8 Diesels in the defenders, you bought a kit for them to fit in, i have thought about that way as well There was an article in LRO about a man who puts the OM606 into defenders and theOM605 into Discoverys, the Defender OM606 with a turbo will get you 174 bhp, they say that the OM606 is as good or better than the Tdi engine ? Thank you again 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |
