I'm trying to get it stripped quite quickly as its taking up valuable space!
The old chassis needs to go asap.

Gearbox, bulkhead, and axles today..... Mr. Green 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

Bit more done early this morning, but got way too hot to be messing about with the grinder Mad

Bulkhead is off, along with the front axle,
Might nip out first thing in the morning and get the box out before it gets to warm.

Plenty of cleaning to be done!

Amazingly under that crud on the axle, the powder coating looks like it was done yesterday!
The rest is peeling off in sheets.

It's all a bit gungy to say the least,

Early start this morning!
Had a friend come over with his jeep which was running a bit rough, and needed a check up/ oils and grease.
All done by 10.30 so back to the Land Rover.....






Front Axle stripped, 3.54 diff dropped in, rubbed down and painted.
Swivel housing re sealed, cleaned and checked.

Front springs fitted, axle fixed in place and built up, shocks on, wheels on.
Just the front brakes to replace, but I'm just desperate for a rolling chassis so I can move it into a more workable location then the fun begins... Thumbs Up
