Well, things have settled in with the new springs. The ride comfort is most definitely improved and it's sat down slightly lower (still higher than before).
Body roll is increased until you start to work the stiffer part of the spring, so increased but predictable I'll be putting it to work tomorrow to take my sisters Corsa (MOT failure) to vauxhall for a new front subframe under warranty. This is what it's failed it's MOT on. Amazingly it's a 2008 so well out of warranty but vauxhall say they will fix it FOC If only out local landrover dealership was so forthcoming ......... Can you not still drive a failed car to a place of repair?
Would save having to faff with a trailer. |

Good news. I was speaking to a chap who has those Urban springs. He swapped his Eibach anti rolll bars for slightly stiffer ones and reckoned it was an improvement. WARNING.

Yeah I've already got stiffer anti roll bars (stiffer than the eibach ones I recall) the next size up, 32mm I think, requires custom brackets to fit a 90.
I think I'm going to go stiffer again when I put it on air suspension Retroanaconda yes you can, but the way it has failed makes it unsafe to drive. One thump from a pothole and the driver side wishbone and associated suspension components would end up in your lap. As my sister only has her car serviced and MOTd once a year it hasn't been picked up until now. And once you know how bad it is you don't really want to take the risk. Turns out it's a manufacturing fault and they can go very quickly and suddenly (hence vauxhall are replacing it FOC) believe me, I would be driving it to save the hassle if it were safe to do so 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton Last edited by grafty99 on 8th Jan 2020 10:39pm. So I've been practicing on photoshop (on my phone) and have come up with this. Works V8 style wheels on my 90.
A bit too much? I quite like them Click image to enlarge 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

I'm not keen on those either, the wheels you have on now look good and suit yours nicely though. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON

Surprising!
I think it would be an old Grafty styling trick (like the gloss pillars on the Range Rover) it's an initial no, then most people come around to the idea Any other suggestions? I'm a bit bored of my current wheels and fancy something different. I have considered 18 inch modulars too 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

I'd love 18 inch boosts, but they aren't available in ET10 (or close) they're all standard offset which would mean running spacers (which I don't really want to do) 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
