Got a steering guard sorted now thanks Simon
Courtesy of Clayton I now have a genuine landrover steering gaurd. It's not the newer style one that I was originally after, however, I think it will suit the 90 well. I got it painted up after work today, hopefully I'll get it fitted tomorrow Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton Last edited by grafty99 on 14th Oct 2019 6:58pm. Thank you chaps
I'm going to get some nylon washers and stainless fixings (tomorrow hopefully) to isolate the aluminium face plate from the galvanised bracket I'm going to go for Torx flanged cap head bolts (if my local fixings specialist has them in) which should look quite smart. As for durability, I've loaded it up with lacquer to the max so should be fairly resilient. In all honesty I've bought it for appearance rather than function. I do take my 90 off road, but to to the point where I'd risk damaging things. Same applies for all of my vehicles really. If its going to ground out I probably won't attempt it 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

No, I definitely don't want to traumatise anyone with my sarcasm. I can't help the bad dad jokes though. I think it must be an age thing. Like making a strange grunting sound when getting up off the sofa or thinking all new cars look the same. |

Well the steering guard is on
I'm glad I did it black, I think it suits the front end. Will keep my eyes peeled for the later style front plate as this one leaves a gap between the guard and the bumper whereas the later ones are shaped to fit. Overall though, I'm pleased Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Looks great but that gap will be ruinous for your drag coefficient.
