The kit comes with 18 Gauge wire so depending on your spots you could wire two into each branch. Things to think about: Spot light current Length of the wire from relay to spots Relay rating If you have worked out 18A for all 4 yours, go 20 to be safe, so each wire needs to be minamum of 10, which means a max length 10' before you are getting into trouble. Hoope this makes sense? Glyn |

Ah Glyn, this is where i bow to your knowledge. They always say that lawyers would be first out of the nuclear bunker if there wasn't enough food! If you say the kit could take 4 spots up top then i'll take your word for it. What do i need to make sure the spots are in terms of wattage for when i buy them? Max 55? I'm half tempted to try to get some LR ones, then at least i know they will work (since they supply 4 up top as an extra). Please feel free to highlight any stupid assumptions i may have made. |

Im going to sound like a broken record...just make them
Anyway the Genuine wiring is for the front 2 spot lights...its not for four on the top...where they do that and its a LR job the dealer makes them or SV do...ive never seen a kit for that. Im not so sure i would trust the std wiring kit to run 4 anyway - use the switch as its only a trigger. Mike |

Seb,
I have never heard of Land Rovwer doing a spot kit for the roof rack so wouldn't really just go off that, otherwise I would have thought they would do a full wiring kit for it too...Maybe the Tomb raider had something?. Anyhoo, for a rough reference (qualiuty of wire can make a difference): 45W at 12v is 3.75A (x2= 7.5A ), max length 20' 55W at 12v is 4.58A (x2= 9.2A ), max lenght 16' 65W at 12v is 5.41A (x2= 11A ), max lenght 14' 75W at 12v is 6.25A (x2= 12.5A), max lenght 12' 85W at 12v is 7.08A (x2= 14.2A), max length 10' My lightforce lamps are 75W so I will try and keep the furthest away spot lamp at no longer than 12' long piece of wire from the battery box/relay.. If that isn't possible I would have to look at either adding more wires or lowering the Wattage of the bulbs. Glyn |

My word with those kits...its a good kit but its not very flexible and its expensive for what it is. I had 4 of those kits (free) i just used them over time for parts. My 220watt lights they werent up to it BTW Mike |
