The lower frequemcy vibration i had was the one where it felt like the engine was shaking out of its mounts.
Infact it felt like a mount had failed. This fault only occurred under sustained load at an rpm below 2000. I think 1750 was the worst. Towing really showed the fault. For me that's exactly the point. So I will try to change my gearobox and engine support as soon as possible. I allready did so many things. Cash and time begins to miss a bit. Okan its definately worth doing the intake mod. If only to help it breathe.[/quote] Yes I was looking at this thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic25864.html It's a bit hard to make a good sealing part between snorkel and airbox as I saw on this page. Is it possible first only remove the restriction part in the airbox and the little plastic fan? Best regards |

Cetane OK you think, that if i will disconnect the pipe from airbox and take a drive - vibrations will go away?

Thanks for pictures Cetane. It's impressive!
![]() For Strang3rr best thing is to try, but in my case It didn't change anything. The too hi torque of my map was the only cause of vibrations. regards |

Hey Okan, I have the exactly same problem. I have fitted a new transferbox, fitted a new clutch set from LOf and also 2 new propshafts on my Defender and have vibrations at circa 1600-1800 rpm. Did you find the solution? Best Regards Benjamin |
