The lower frequemcy vibration i had was the one where it felt like the engine was shaking out of its mounts.
Infact it felt like a mount had failed. This fault only occurred under sustained load at an rpm below 2000. I think 1750 was the worst. Towing really showed the fault. For me that's exactly the point. So I will try to change my gearobox and engine support as soon as possible. I allready did so many things. Cash and time begins to miss a bit. Okan its definately worth doing the intake mod. If only to help it breathe.[/quote] Yes I was looking at this thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic25864.html It's a bit hard to make a good sealing part between snorkel and airbox as I saw on this page. Is it possible first only remove the restriction part in the airbox and the little plastic fan? Best regards |

Cetane OK you think, that if i will disconnect the pipe from airbox and take a drive - vibrations will go away?

Thanks for pictures Cetane. It's impressive!
For Strang3rr best thing is to try, but in my case It didn't change anything. The too hi torque of my map was the only cause of vibrations. regards |
