Thread revival indeed ...... what LED headlights do I buy to replace the ones on my A bar......top hung, the existing ones are old and rusty halogen, they need to be shallow enough so I donโt need to cut the grill as the old ones required before I purchased the truck......the wiring is in place so follow correct stick settings if switched on via the dash extra switch

Depends on what type of Spotlight your looking for, there are LED light bars that are rectangular or round LED spot lights which are much the same only in a more traditional style format.
I have twin LED light bars on mine, a 16" and a 12" but the top one is the smaller one which is hung with adjustable mounts and the larger one mounted at the bottom. The bottom one however is on 3" tubing. (FF Shadow bumper) and uses an X clamp as its mount. The X clamp also doubles as my number plate mount with custom made Aluminium number plate hangar I made for this purpose. If memory serves me well you have the rubber factory A bar? If so this has top hangar mounts I believe and should allow you scope to fit an LED light bar OR round LED lights. Just be sure to take lateral measurements to ensure correct fit, my guess is you'll have 12" - 14" to deal with as 12" or two 7" spotlights typically fit. You could have a lower mounted one as well if you wanted, much the same size probably as I did around 16" but assuming you have a standard bumper you'd need to have it mounted to that. On mine, the tubing is a bit higher and a bit more advantageous for lighting purposes. Each light bar has it's own dedicated circuit and Relay as they pull quite a lot of current and Alternator power fed. These combined with the Noldens are superb and have a combined spot and flood beam as standard which is excellent. They were also surprisingly competitive for cost and did not come at ridiculous ยฃ200+ costs like some are each. Performance of output has been superb. I'd be looking at 7D reflector technology and or Cree SMD chips. Mine are 7D reflector tech, and running ALL LED on all exterior lighting. Hi Steve, yes you are right with the A bar, I have dresses up the front with a new bumper and new wipac crystals and LED's elsewhere.....I assume LED bars are not road legal driving lights with dipped beam etc? And like I say, I would like something not too deep so that I have to hack 2 holes in the grill like it was previous. I am struggling to find much under 300 quid, which are the ones you mention for under ยฃ200?

eBay, I'll see if I can find a link for you. They are very hit and miss but I found a good seller, they have been surprisingly good so far.
And no, definitely not for dipped, main beam only. If you wanted Dipped and main beam the Lazer range or similar which are equipped for both functions and E marked would be your best bet. I'm happy with Noldens on Dipped, but I do like to have good powerful main beam lights if needed. Much depends on what your looking for, I'm not overly keen on driving lights as such due to the effect on other drivers. Hi to everyone before I start , just picking up on the revived thread about boomslang kits , What's the best way to wire in spots with this kit .. I do have a seperate plug n play for spots but not sure if both can be used . If not how's best to wire spots in . I just don't want to make matters worse . But will be fitting the Boomslang asap and replacing the light units bulbs Tec , So would be nice to do the spots at the same time whilst I'm threading cables .
