They are usually pretty good at resolving things but I can't see how many times they can strip and rebuild the brakes and expect a different result to the last time?
Surely a piston shouldn't have seized on a 6 month old defender! Actually it is a land rover after all The squealing seems to be at its worst when I have been on the motorway for a while and then come off to stop on the slip road. |

I had this after my last service and it turned out to be the break pads at fault - they were too hard a compound so squealed for about 2000 miles till I had them changed for new Landrover original parts and hay presto - all better and normally returned - as did better breaking and less dust!!
The pads used first time where after market ones and the same ones as I’ve been having fit for years - so no idea if they have changed their compound ... but now all sorted Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |
