Ooh Chrispy, like the sound of your colour scheme, looking forward to seeing it in the New Year as I've considered a similar one myself. Good job btw Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Had this SVX style grille and headlamp kit delivered today, hopefully it'll be installed next Wednesday along with the Discovery transfer box they couldn't do today when they fitted the new roof.
Click image to enlarge I bought it off a company on eBay for £209 which i'll admit wasn't the cheapest on there but looked very good and the company had excellent feedback which is one of the first things I check before purchasing anything. We took the old roof off yesterday and fitted the new Tdci one I bought just before Christmas. It wasn't an easy job but having done this once already it wasn't too hard. It took about 2 1/2 hours all told.
Click image to enlarge They look really weird without a lid. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I can't waitr to get rid of that hideous chequerplate all over the bonnet. It looks bloody awful. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Sadly there wasn't enough time to fit the Disco transfer box so that's another job for next Wednesday I guess along with the SVX Grille and surrounds as long as I can find lights to fit them. Fitted the Discovery transfer box this week at last, photos are a bit dark sorry as it was late afternoon before we could get around to it.

I haven't updated this build in a very long time as i've been on a fitness thing and too busy losing over 12 stone in the last 14 months. I watched a documentary on youtube called 'Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead' and while I didn't do the juice diet the guy on the show did it really woke me up and opened my eyes as to how I could cure myself of a lot of ailments I had. I joined the gym and started eating healthy and have dropped down from just shy of 30 stone to 18 1/2 stone now and i've cured myself of type 2 diabetes. Now i'm healthy enough I plan on doing much more of these mods myself.
Anyway, the reason why i'm here is we finally got around to fitting the rear door panel properly we bought from Bolt On Bits at Christmas last year. Click image to enlarge I had to dremel out a piece from the bottom to accomodate the hydraulic like door thingy (i'm hopeless at this lol). Click image to enlarge Then drill a few holes around the edge of the door frame. Click image to enlarge To fit these plastic bits for the screws to go in to. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Then fit the panel properly. It fits beautifully and looks very smart. Click image to enlarge I still haven't got around to wrapping it yet or fitting the panoramic glass as we've had a few set backs throughout this year and also ended up donating a lot of money we had set aside for Monty to two animal rescues who were in dire financial difficulties. We don't mind waiting and in the mean time we can get more little jobs done. When it goes in to be wrapped I want the windows fitted the same time so it comes out complete and ready for my wife. I fitted this just before Christmas. It's an RDX XL Console from Bolt On Bits again (I love their stuff) and the wife wanted a double din Android system for her Christmas present as her old Land Rover CD Player was looking a little long in the tooth and she couldn't have hands free phone calls on it.

Thank you my friend. I've literally got a spare bedroom full of stuff still to go in it but I just haven't got around to it yet. I should be busy the next few months now i'm both fit and motivated enough to do it.

Thanks my friend. I was on crutches before and now i'm running 5 & 10k's and actually rock climbing lol. Massive change but I would be dead now if I hadn't. I'm nothing to look at but in the photo on the left I actually wasn't at my biggest then. That was the point I stopped letting people take photos of me and I went bigger again. The one on the right was about 4 months ago I think.

Would look better with Genuine switches in place in my opinion. Any pics of fitting and item unfitted ? Just seeing if it is as it could potentially be. |
