REDEX
I saw REDEX diesel was on offer at Wilko for £2.50 so i thought i would give it a go. After about 100 miles the car does seem to drive a little better.
Has anyone else tried REDEX and could they recommend or is it just my imagination and want after paying £2.50!! Darren

you're right however I generally find an increase in performance is only noticable after the second coat of polish.

I put some ( a Censored load ) in an old Honda Civic ! Got chased by the Cops because it resembled an Red Arrows display aircraft. Evan after it had been burned off I always got honked at and lights flashed at me from traffic lights. In the end I would only take it out a night! Her indoors refused to drive it. Laughing

I put some Redex in my Hillman Husky many years ago, cap full down each spark plug hole and a drop in the carb, just like my old man said Whistle When I turned the key and she fired there was a bit of a bang Rolling Eyes When the smoke cleared I found that I needed a new exhaust, it'd blown the whole lot off completely. The one thing about Imp exhaust systems was that the tail pipe went into the silencer box at one end and the pipe in, bolted straight onto the exhaust manifold.

If you put any sort of liquid in through the plugholes, you should spin the surplus out on the starter before replacing the plugs.

My old man had an interesting way of teaching, his family's business consisted of a couple of butchers shops in Birmingham where he served an apprenticeship then national Service took him off and gave him tastes and skills anew. He must have enjoyed himself as he stayed on in the services for a while. Then he went into farm work and used to work on Packington Estate, where Land Rover used to do a fair bit of testing and press days as it wasn't that far away from Lode Lane. He spent some years driving HGV's and all the time we had horses around which were allways part of our life.
As an only child, he was allways imparting me with different skills he had picked up along the way, I could use a steel to sharpen a knife from an early age, a lot slower than him though, I would spend hours chopping logs for the fire and Rayburn, learning as I went along. He was a true countryman and an excellent shot, except in later years when his eyesight started to fade and he left us stranded one night when he put a full choke through my Volvo 145's radiator one night out rabbit shooting!
He would show you once and then leave you to it, you either carried on doing it his way or found a way to suit you, he didn't mind as long as the task you were doing got done as fast or faster than he did it. He would have been the first to admit that there is no one way to do a job, it was the end result that mattered.

Back to redex....

Would double doses of redex each tank full do any harm or benefit?

I'm thinking this would be cheaper and perhaps as beneficial as diesel ultimate?
