Rock sliders
By chance does anyone have photos of how rock sliders attach to a 130 and if so could they post them?

I'm currently in West Africa, where ordering a set just isn't an option but the local fellows can whip some up. I just want to make sure they're mounted properly as they like to take shortcuts in this part of the world.

Any help greatly appreciated!

I've just finished fitting a set on my 90 today. Basically at the rear of the chassis is a tube. The rock slider attachment at the rear is a tube that fits inside the chassis tube and is bolted in place from the opposite side of the chassis with a long bolt and a humoungous washer. The rock slider bolts onto this attachment with two bolts. At the front the rock slider bolts directly to the chassis by means of a 90 degree lug. Not sure what else there is on a 130 but this may help.

**EDIT**

Found this on the Terrafirma site for a 130. There are pdf instructions on how to fit within the link and it looks the same as a 90 I think.

Thumbs Up

Thanks gents,

I'll see what I can work out with the local boys with your feedback.

Mick: I'll assume the brackets for the outriggers are bolted on? Did they use preexisting holes or did they need to be drilled?

No tube on a 130 Thumbs Up

The ones I made bolt either side of the out riggers and at the font onto the bulkhead to chassis fixing.

Andrew this is from the Terrafirrma PDF fitting instruction in my link above for the 130 sliders, hence the reason I thought they were similar to mine on my 90:

"Fit the rear support tube into the rear tube body mounting. Push in up to the tube stop and fit M10 bolt spring washer and large washer. Do up finger tight and make sure the square side is at the top."
