It's odd that the indicators are different on the Autobiography compared to the Adventure. They're reversed.
I wonder what sort of relay LR have got driving them and how well it works with trailers etc. |

Looks like the Adventure has my kind of set up with the filament indicator outboard, instead of using the fog/rev plinths and putting the LED versions of those outboard, a la SVX 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

A volume manufacturer cannot use the IVA scheme, there is a production volume limit of 300 vehicles per 12 months. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Martin - you may be correct there, but I recall Lotus doing something similar with the last of the S1 Exiges many years ago.
If the normal Defender line has ceased production, would a different engined model re-set the 300 count? Or if the vehicles were rolled engineless into the Special Vehicles building would any work they did count? Last edited by Supacat on 9th Jan 2015 10:16am. Edited 1 time in total |

Thinking about these end of production 'special' vehicles.
It is a bit of a joke to be honest, its like........ Here you go guys, here is some great options and improvements on the vehicle just what you've always wanted, oh by the way there are limited numbers and...... er oh yea we wont be making it anymore. Why oh why did they not do these options years ago. |

Anyone know the reason what all the spot welds are for on the rear panel?

It's where the seat box panel joins the rear panel. All Defenders have this "feature".

Jeez! Your right, you know I have never noticed! I think I need to go to Specsavers
I have just been out and looked at mine and to be truthful you can hardly see them, just very feint indentations hardy noticeable . On that picture they looked so pronounced I thought it was something special |

The Heritage model looks nice, but I would like to have it in the deep bronze green colour with an option of a soft top version and V6 or V8 petrol engine Choice

Was speaking to local LR dealer on Saturday. He has not been allocated any Autobiography at all. His suspicion was that they had probably been presold by LR and/or reserved for London/South of England.
Heritage, half of his allocation had been sold. Adventure he had 3 left without any name on them. It would vary from dealer to dealer the allocation level and quantities remaining. SFS yes they are Noldens fitted to the last 3 editions Brendan |
