As others have mentioned you'd be better off buying a base model and speccing it to your own personal requirements. I wonder if these final editions will hold their value like previous special editions have done, purely for the fact there are so many companies producing modded Defenders.

no good wishing for Tdv8 or 5.0ltr S/C's as the cost to mofify and homologate would be prohibitive also would simply play into the hands of rich collectors who would stuff them in a climate controlled storage facility and watch the value grow. OK so to some they are over-specced and possibly overpriced BUT at least they are still within reach of many buyers, and who are generally people who will use them for what they are meant to do, rather than store them away as an investment. Let's face it, there will still be a lot of pre-2015 Defenders around for years to come.
Footnote - I have ordered a Yulong White 110 Adventure - it will not be shut away in a humidty/ temperature controlled garage it will live on my drive and will become my only car once the Evoque and 90 have been sold Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! Last edited by Tim in Scotland on 10th Jan 2015 11:19am. Unless you really want that lovely green color. Full respray doesn't come cheap. ee I actually like the the looks of the Heritage version more than any other custom job. |

^^ As to looks of Heritage. Me too. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Tim in Scotland I agree, this is the biggest special edition run and is probably in he region of 10% of all the defenders built this year.
They only made 250 tomb raiders. Can't remember how my 50th 200? |

Anyone know the part number for the heritage grille yet?
Looks to me like a one-piece plastic moulding, but I may be wrong. As far as I can see it's the only new part on any of them! |

Badger Dan @ Duckworth - the parts may be on Microcat already.
It does appear to be a new moulding, based on the aircon grille extension piece. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

PM sent, though I think it might be a bit early. I also suspect that availability will be limited and the price will be high (if SVX gear knobs are anything to go by) but it does no harm to ask. |

Ive not found all the parts yet on Microcat but what I have found arnt available as yet. Im told they wont be until the model release and then they may also be vin specific.
Ive no doubt at all that people in the trade are already on the toes to source the extras used on these models and will become available soon id think. |
