As we know marketing is a precise science. Everything is done for a reason. Everything is placed perfectly to best showcase the goods being sold.

So to all the red LR owners, LR don't think it's the colour that best showcases the Defender. Seems grey is there. What does that tell you Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 110 D250 SE HT

Australia 2013 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 CSW Keswick Green
So, an Autobiography is Sixty two thousand pounds, and presumably it's based on an XS.
What is the price of an XS with the LR options included in the Autobiography, as against the price of an Autobiography? In other words, how much is one paying over and above the price of an availably optioned XS for what one gets in an Autobiography?

The Final run Defenders look awesome !

I think it's great that Land Rover have come up with three totally different 'themes' so hopefully catering for most tastes.

The majority of us won't be in a position to buy one of these for a long time however don't forget that you can pretty much build your own utilising offerings from this sites Sponsors:

150 bhp power upgrade from BAS - FCX are also a BAS dealer
LED headlights from 4x4 Overlander and Mobile Centre
Interior leather trim from FCX - We already offer the four dash parts leathered as well as the full dash and door cards (as the Autobiography) however you may not know that we can retrim your existing seats, including replacing the cloth centres of your existing XS seats and .... we can modify your existing seats into Premium seats !

Oh the joys of satellitte powered internet while in the middle of the ocean............... I have the full spec sheets and pricelist in my email from Jeremy at Grange Garage 5 minutes ago! Would love an Autobiography but it's only a 90 and out of my price league these days. Decision's Decisions - keep with the 110XS or change to a Yulong White 110 Adventure for slightly less than the XS was going to set me back................... and have the angonising wait through to September.............. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

The 150 HP engine option sounds very interesting, especially if it can be retrofitted !

To be honest i'm not that excited about any of them. Neutral
I have no intention of changing mine but if i did i would want a normal xs... Smile
I don't think it justifies the money.
But i understand the idea of having one of the last ones.

Yes, with Recaro seats and a Startech steering wheel. Thumbs Up
But,.... that will drive the price up to 70.000£ then Shocked You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

I think it is supposed to be like an 80" grille...lamps behind grille type.

I am sure you're right, but it reminds me more of this.....

If these three really are the last, last and last editions then, to paraphrase Nelson Mandela: “Never, never and never again shall it be that this beautiful land will again experience a Land Rover purchased by me”.

Just had time to look at the pictures. While the Heritage (which I find the nicest of the three) is pretty low key standard, but in the right way, I am a bit shocked to see that the two others, and certainly the extremely expensive Autobiography does not even get the Recaro seats. Also seems to have pretty standard gear/transfer box levers. And just a standard (leathered of course) steering wheel, even knowing that Land Rover in the past have made several limited editions with the much nicer Startech steering wheel installed ex factory. (Black Pearl, Hunter, etc.)
You only get that for the top of the line Autobiography at a hefty 62.000£, for a 90, not even a 110? Wow. Rolling Eyes
My 110 SVX ex factory was better equipped for far less money, that's for sure. Thumbs Up

I suspect that at least one preproduction model of one of these three series will be on display at the Geneva car show in March. That was also so in 2008, when I ordered my 110 SVX in March and they had one on display at the car show here then. The SVX 110 production models only were produced half a year later in August. Looking forward to see a Heritage in two months time, my dealer hinted that that would be the one on display here. Thumbs Up
