It seems that the blue tinge to my sidewalls wont dissapear after all. So....is it a fault and should i complain amd secondly if i painted the letters back to white...what sort of paint should i use to last?

It's not a fault, it will go naturally in a short period of time.
If you really are that desperate to remove it as above a a stiff brush will remove it.

Gum - I meant like an alloy wheel bush or nylon bristle brush. NOT a wire brush on any account.

Get it off the tarmac into some proper mud, that'll take the blueness off. It has on mine and got rid of the white that I had fitted on the inside out of the way Thumbs Up

It should not matter as it should be on the inside. So only visible from below the vehicle. Whistle Whistle
