Disabling dim-dip is as easy as bridging two of the wires in the socket that the link relay lives in.

There is an official replacement 'relay' available from Land Rover for vehicles without dim-dip, it fits in place of the dim-dip relay and is just a pink box with a jumper wire inside it. Put one on my 90 years ago, much easier than scrabbling around inside the wing for the resistor. A short length of wire with two spade connectors on, jumped between the relevant pins of the relay socket will achieve the same thing.
