hand brake warning light and a grinding sound...
hand brake warning light comes on when on bumpy terrain or steep downhill's, also hearing a slight grinding sound coming from underneath, anyone experienced this / got ideas ? on a puma 90..

couldn't say if both happen at same time but grinding noticeable after the warning light starts flickering

Perhaps it's not fully releasing? Or reapplying slightly when on the bumpy terrain, causing the noise and the light? An engine to TDi for!

Brake fluid low? - this puts the handbrake light on as well.

As stated above, the same warning light is used for low fluid. Steep downgrades especially when braking may activate it as the fluid runs to the front of the reservoir.

If your pads are worn to bare metal you'll get a grinding noise, and the level will be low due to the piston extension in the calipers.

low fluid
handbrake cable too tight
sticking shoe combined with low fluid
pads shot

is the grinding noise only going down hill, only under braking or all the time? Cheers
