More comfy seats
Has anyone fitted more comfy/padded seats into an old defender? If so where from, bit of back jip for me currently, don't want to exacerbate it.....

With a bit of ingenuity you can fit pretty much anything. In my last 110 I had seats from a Classic Rnage Rover, which were great.

The biggest challenge is usually maintanining access to the underseat boxes. Darren

I've got disco1 seats in the project90.

Just made up some adaptors from flat bar. It's better if you remove the bulkhead behind them (well, it is if you're big like me) as you can push the "back" of the seat back a bit to fit your lankey legs in (like me LOL)

I only paid £30 for the pair of seats, so it needn't be an expensive convesion. Even SWMBO thinks they're comfy, and for her to say anything positive about a LR is quite something!

I fitted recaro seats from an Alfa years ago. Fantastic! One of the best mods I have done.

I made adaptor plates from steel flat bar. One under each of the runners with the holes drilled for fixing down to the seat box and up into the runner.

If that makes sense?

Anything can be made to fit with a bit of ingenuity.

Shouldn't be too hard.

A couple of pics of the disco seats in my 90:

And this post shows how I cut the bulkhead to give some more room <----- CLICKY

PS... i got your PM on the weekend... was out with SWMBO most of it so couldn't arrange a meeting with you.

The nano i've got (an early one) only does defender and disco Td5. Had to get the unlock codes from nanocom to activate it, but it only does the Td5 anyway. think later ones can be unlocked to various types of vehicle (freelander/disco3/2/RR etc)
