I used it today on a 200 km trip. I felt the engine going smoother.....very subjective though. I´ll check mpg`s on monday after the same trip. Puma 110" SW

Was contemplating an RAI for my puma but I want this one http://c0007716.cdn2.cloudfiles.rackspacec...hicles.png
From what I understand you cant get it anymore. It is just the rectangle one. With the mantec one for a td5 not work? |

I agree with all that's been said. I used the masking tape, new drills etc: I also used a large amount of Silicon Grease - NOT the sealant - but very high melting point grease on the rubber/foam seal and under the A pillar bracket as well as around the rivnuts on the wing. As they say, measure 2 x and Drill 1x.

It is still available from mantec, as is the older metal version and both fit the puma. My friend has had the one you want on both his puma 110's. http://www.mantec.co.uk/productdetail.cfm?...3D6B187B27 German mantec stockists listed here: http://www.mantec.co.uk/stockists.cfm |

I fitted my new MANTEC metal (for roll cage) snorkel with ARB pre-filter at the top.
I must admit I was supprised with the MANTEC kit- it has EVERYTHING including a tube of clear sealent and instructions of how to completely seal the whole system. After the PPC abonimation I am super happy with what I am left with Now all I need to do is find some water 5 foot deep!! Glyn |

Mike,
Sealing bits were: -Wing to first plastic box. -Plastic box to tube. -Tube to Air box. -Water drain thing in the air box. The good thing about the metal one is that it uses bolts and captive nuts so you can really tighten the inner plastic box to the outer bit with the wing sandwiched in the middle Glyn |

Ah ok, cheers. I thought it was some kind of mystical black art
still, was in water up to the wing mirrors this week (the front anyway). Will post a pic of the filthy truck if I get a minute tomorrow. As previously, the only water was a small amount in the footwells and probably the battery box which I must check in the morning. Am seriously considering some of Peters Double seals. |

Anyone tried out this one?
http://nakatanenga-tours.de/shop/article_S...%2520AL%26 Like the style of it (looks like it's there for a reason), and it's practical, a oil bath that sorts out dust and particles. Anyone? |

Knowing Peter the kit will be awesome and of the highest quality.... the only problem is the price. A mantec will cost someone in the UK less than £200... where Peter's is over £400 I bought a centrifugal pre-filter for mine... Was £180 for the snorkel and then another £50 for the pre-filter, so only about £230 all in which included EVERYTHING to fit it to the vehicle and seal the system up. Peter's would have been my next choice if the Mantec didn't fit. Glyn P.S. Jaeger, I will reply to your PM later today (Have rugby to watch) |
