@g-mack there's a thread "calling Td5 gurus" (I haven't worked out how to copy and paste on this tablet) .
The problem seems to have been diesel, after getting diesel for the past 6/7 months from Sainsburys I called in at an Esso/Tesco Express, 5 miles down the road my problems started. I put a new fuel pump in today and when I pulled the old one out it was covered in black slime. I am putting it down to bio diesel problems. Since I made a few comments on Farcebook I have had others getting back saying they've had problems and Tescos have released a link to contact them on as there seems to be a common problem but I haven't looked yet. |

Spent a few hours getting rid of some rust on rear cross member and fitting stainless bolts. Got door plate mounted for new wheel carrier.

Put the dogs in the bag, me and SWMBO in the front and went to the coast for the day. Other than a Land Rover show, must have seen the most Land Rovers ever in one trip. _______________________________

Been boggling at the number of Defenders around in North Devon. Given the truck a good workout up and down the hills. It's always had rattle from somewhere up front at 2.5k rpm, but it's really noticeable coming down a hill in second. Will have to see if I can recreate it stood still -- sounds like something's not screwed down tight and is hitting some resonant frequency. 2009 110 XS Station Wagon
