Needed to run two cabled into box under drivers seat from cubby box, I have fitted two aux power sockets. Started off well, sunny and dry. Got drivers seat and panel out then the panel that is under cubby box. Hole drilled for grommet then CRACKLE, BANG, and RAIN. In the space of 5 second I was soaked to the skin.
Now sitting watching it pour down wondering how long it will last. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Installed the cables for the roof lights. Managed to get all the cables down the back of the b-pillar and into the battery box with only one hole drilled - and that was to get the cables into the roof... fuse panel and switches being done in the next few weeks 2013 Aintree Green 110 Station Wagon SX

Spent most of the afternoon and evening finishing the wiring for two 12v outlets one is a double USB socket. installed in the cupholder space of my newly recovered cubby box, (thanks Matt) installed a 4 way satellite fuse box to make the job harder if not more practicable when looking for the fuse's.
Standing back for a breather noticed water dripping down from just behind the front nearside wheel (naughty word) up with bonnett checking all hose I could put my hands on, no leaks, but where was the water coming from, gets wife to look from above while I shone light up over from behind inner wing, she marks the spot where she saw the light and I puts my hand down a hole. Turns out to be the drain for the heating intake, I glance to the intake grill and the whole thing is full of water. Next thing on shopping list is a snow cowl to stop water getting in. Next job is to fit CB ariel to the back. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

ARC99, Im sure on the Puma you can cut the end off the rubber drain hose to widen the hole, so it doesnt clog up.

Gave mine a bit of tlc, tightened wheel bearing on the front(got to get a replacement as it's starting to get noisy) got the grease gun on all the nipples, bled the power steering needs another go probably since I replaced an O ring on the pump, changed the panhard arm bushes(makes you wonder why we put steering guards on when it comes to working on our motors)
And the biggest treat it had was a fluid level check, gearbox was good, both axles were good but they could do with a change really but the biggest one was over a litre back into the transfer box! At least the gearchanges are smoother now and the wheel wobble has all but gone, it's a little perturbing on how these little warning signs creep up on you and whilst you know you should do something about it you put them off and adjust your driving style to accomodate and the next thing you know another month has passed! |

Installed a 12v socket in the rear. Took 10 mins - most of which was spent looking for a dropped screw!

It wasn't clogged up it was the amount of water or should I say rain that fell from the sky yesterday and overnight, my back garden was a duck pond this this morning, the bird and other wild life thought it was anyway. Finished up the 24k service on the 110 and washed it!
Degreased the engine (especially around the fuel pressure regulator) and awaiting a repair kit for said regulator. Worth taking a punt on £11 vs. £150! |
