Thumbs Up Just make sure you get into all the little bits in the corners and inner edges, it took me a couple of day to do the surrounds and grill – longer to prep than it did to paint.

If it all falls off in 6 months I shall have to eat my words! Rolling with laughter

Started servicing my truck this afternoon.

Did the fuel filter and did not have to bother priming anything thanks to the Puma's in tank pump, just needed a few turns of the key to pos 2 to circulate the fuel Thumbs Up

Also started doing early life oil changes to the diffs and i'm glad I did! Car only has 23000miles on it. The rear oil was ok but the front diff looked to be short by a fair bit... was pretty manky looking too so gave it a good flush out before filling back up. Onto the transfer box and gearbox tomorrow as well as greasing the props. Hopefully the weather will hold Whistle

Afternoon for myself so viscous fan bearing replaced along with a new crank damper, that's taken a whole load of engine rattles away.

Revamped a spare set of standard surrounds and grill.

The Raptor has had a few days to go off so got them on the front.

I'm happy with the finish, in reality it doesn't look as obvious as it does in these shots. Should keep it looking smart anyway Very Happy I didn't go too roughly textured so it's easier to clean.

Tip for fellow newbies, always keep a window open when working on the truck, I have just locked my keys in the car!! Crying or Very sad

Just finished fitting the bumper etc. this morning. Really pleased - I think you'd barely notice that it was there, since the soft A is so s*dding huge. Just sprayed all the "advertising" black. Still need to plumb it in and find a place for the numberplate though Laughing

Another 1/2 day spent laying on my back under the truck, cleaning it up for its yearly under seal top-up.

After washing the mud off, I’m using ‘marine clean’ now called POR15 degreaser. It works very well diluted somewhere between 1:1 and 2:1 with water to prep the chassis, axles and underfloor for a fresh coat of clear Bilt Hamber UC spray. This year I’m going to top up the cavity wax inside the chassis legs as I didn’t do it last year. I’ve also started to use the thicker UB on hard working areas such as the chassis legs behind the front wheels. I like the UC as it resists corrosion well and yet remains clear so you can see what state the underlying paint is. 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2

I fitted a separate loom from my crank sensor to the ECU (from Martin) and I started work on fitting a marine port in my boot floor.

Yes!

You’ve watched the same YouTube video as me haha. I just need to open the hole up a touch more tomorrow then the port should go in.

Definitely seems like the tidiest solution for pit stop fuel pump changing. Thumbs Up

Not mine today but I’ve had two critical workers vehicles booked in today, a Wolf TUM with a badly leaking swivel seal and another leak now deemed to be the steering box which will need replacement, whilst there I did a little bit of panel beating as one of his sill trims was rather bent and detached from the brackets, but it’s now drivable allowing him to get to work.

The second a 90 300tdi, running a little rough along with a u/s no1 ball joint, so a quick valve clearance check seems to have the engine sounding better, just the ball joint to go Thumbs Up Not too bad for an afternoon’s work.

Only took one oily pic:
