A mate wants to get into trials riding, though he has no way of transporting his bike yet.
So I saw an opportunity to go for blast up the Peaks, as well as doing a mate a favour and taking him to Hawks Nest. Versatile? Tick. Click image to enlarge |

Got out early this morning, bare metalled the rear cross member, and gave it its annual coat of paint.
It was looking a bit sad recently after the winter. Another job off the to do list.. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Thanks... I painted it with satin Keswick green.
With a roller. Looks good from afar, but it's far from good |

Went to Malvern Land Rover show with the kids. It was a shame the rain came in and when we arrived most people were heading home. There were still some cracking vehicles there, particularly in the Series 1 area, just stunning. Lots of bits for sale, just a distinct lack of people.

Well not today, as we had finished the job on Thursday and was going to have Friday off, i thought that is going to be the day to do my job thats been waiting for a while and to be safe allowing a day as you never know what lays in wait
So here is the first pic of my seats before they were took out ........ Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The seats came out ok, just the back nut and bolts on the centre seat, had to take out the access plate to get the nuts off....... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge While the seats out i gave it all a good thorough clean, surprising what you find/thought you had lost it With that all done, in goes my new 2nd hand seats, lovely XS seats, thank you grafty and a big thank you to Harryo for the coming to my rescue with the centre seat, with matching XS Exmoor Trim covers ........ Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge With them all fitted and looking really nice i put the covers back on so not to get them dirty/tare them........ Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Once they where on i just couldn't wait to jump in and try them out, i noticed that i was sitting a lot higher than normal, so i got out and had a look and this is what i found........................ Click image to enlarge They are about 2" higher than my old seats as you can see from the middle seat, a new driving position, still getting use to it, but the best thing is how comfortable they are I had a great time doing all this and it went like clockwork, took about half a day to do as i was not in a rush and was at the store in the dry out of the rain The seat covers will be coming off soon as they could do with a wash and i can enjoy the seats fully as i will be going on a little adventure trip soon 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
