Thanks Pickles.
The one in the Photo is a 2009 2.4 90 XS Station Wagon in Stornoway grey. I've had it for 2 1/2 years and did a few minor changes but mainly tried to keep it looking original. The new one is a 2012 2.2 XS Utility Station Wagon in Baltic Blue with black sawtooth alloys. I'll try to post a pic when I get it. |

Finished off the Ashcroft MT82 output mod.
Cheers to Dave for quickly sorting out a minor issue. I'd definitely advise getting a "special tool" to torque up the dirty great bolt that holds the output "cup" in place. 210nm to seat it! Also, I found it easier to use a 3 legged puller to remove the original cup rather than mess about welding nuts to it and then using a slide hammer. I simply dropped a socket into the aperture to allow the puller to push against something before running out of travel. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge With that done I decided to punish myself and give both gearbags a thorough clean ready for refitting. Not the nicest of jobs! They sure are. I removed them as one unit. Think I'll try putting them back individually.

This morning at home did a Ctek battery top up while waiting for the periodic Europe and North America Garmin Map Update to complete, then guided by fully updated maps drove the SVX back to town and into its underground parking place as tonight and tomorrow we may get a short summer rainy spell. Proactive action I would say. On te way to the office took this picture.

Yesterday I picked up our new caravan. Today will be spent loading all the gear back into it that it needs to become a home away from home. It's a tad bigger than our old one, so we had some 'fun' trying to get it into the drive, but it's there now. Maybe a motor mover for my birthday
I even managed to avoid a soaking by not getting caught in some of the 'monsoon' showers we had during the day Click image to enlarge |

Yesterday I did a 350 mile round trip to part exchanged my 90 station wagon for a 110 utility.
Today I just enjoyed the extra space in the 110 by putting the bike in the back and heading over to the Peak District for a ride. Click image to enlarge |

Thanks mk1collector,,
I changed the grille and headlight surrounds yesterday just to give the car more of the look I wanted. I've got a few things to tidy up on the car, but I'm very happy with it so far. |
