United Kingdom 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Baltic Blue
Thanks Pickles.

The one in the Photo is a 2009 2.4 90 XS Station Wagon in Stornoway grey.
I've had it for 2 1/2 years and did a few minor changes but mainly tried to keep it looking original.

The new one is a 2012 2.2 XS Utility Station Wagon in Baltic Blue with black sawtooth alloys. I'll try to post a pic when I get it.

Took the old 110 V8 out for a little run this morning.

Set off from South B'ham and now in Sunderland. Easy drive all the way.

Now a couple of meetings and back home. Should be about 480 miles round trip 😀

Finished off the Ashcroft MT82 output mod.
Cheers to Dave for quickly sorting out a minor issue.

I'd definitely advise getting a "special tool" to torque up the dirty great bolt that holds the output "cup" in place. 210nm to seat it!

Also, I found it easier to use a 3 legged puller to remove the original cup rather than mess about welding nuts to it and then using a slide hammer. I simply dropped a socket into the aperture to allow the puller to push against something before running out of travel.

With that done I decided to punish myself and give both gearbags a thorough clean ready for refitting.
Not the nicest of jobs!

The transfer and gearbox are pretty big chunks aren't they!

They sure are. I removed them as one unit. Think I'll try putting them back individually.

Switzerland 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
This morning at home did a Ctek battery top up while waiting for the periodic Europe and North America Garmin Map Update to complete, then guided by fully updated maps drove the SVX back to town and into its underground parking place as tonight and tomorrow we may get a short summer rainy spell. Proactive action I would say. Whistle On te way to the office took this picture. Very Happy

It is in pretty good company down there as evidenced by below picture. Cool

Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Scotland 2004 Defender 90 Td5 SW Yellow
Yesterday I picked up our new caravan. Today will be spent loading all the gear back into it that it needs to become a home away from home. It's a tad bigger than our old one, so we had some 'fun' trying to get it into the drive, but it's there now. Maybe a motor mover for my birthday Rolling with laughter
I even managed to avoid a soaking by not getting caught in some of the 'monsoon' showers we had during the day Thumbs Up

Did four tip runs, each with around 1 ton of soil in a trailer and off loaded with me and a shovel!
Only another 3 ton to go. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Yesterday I did a 350 mile round trip to part exchanged my 90 station wagon for a 110 utility.

Today I just enjoyed the extra space in the 110 by putting the bike in the back and heading over to the Peak District for a ride.

Thanks mk1collector,,

I changed the grille and headlight surrounds yesterday just to give the car more of the look I wanted. I've got a few things to tidy up on the car, but I'm very happy with it so far.
