Filled up the SVX this morning. BP Ultimate as usual, 100% mineral diesel. As to price....
Right now updating my Lifetime Garmin maps Full Europe as well as USA and Canada on the Nüvi770. Will be a 5 hour process, and these maps with time have become so much more detailed that it now requires a 8Gb SD card to be slotted in. (Was still a 4Gb card at last update earlier this year). After that truck will be ready for a sunny trip to Neuchatel tomorrow. Eric Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. Hi Eric, are you planning to drive your Defender in the USA and Canada?
Also using the Garmin Lifetime Update here, but I select only the region where I plan to drive my Defender (haha, roughly Europe between the Nordkapp and the South Cape/Tarifa) Cheers, Vincent 1959 Polynorm 1/4 Ton Trailer, Olive Drab Green (sold) 1970 M416 Military Trailer (Camping Trailer Conversion), Epsom Green (sold) 1975 Series III 88 V6, Light Green (sadly sold) 1996 Defender 110 CSW 300 Tdi, Epsom Green (sold) 2000 Freelander 1 TD4 3-drs, Silver (sold) 2006 Freelander 1 TD4 5-drs Facelift Automatic, Tonga Green (sold) MySite |

Vincent, driving the SVX in USA/Canada, not really... As you know the SVX came standard with a Nüvi 750 installed, but that one has no bluetooth. So at one point in time I bought in the USA a Nüvi 770, and this gives me bluetooth for the phone which works a treat via the SVX auxiliary loudspeaker system, which for once Land Rover did a real good job with.
The Nüvi 770 has also the USA/Canada maps, and at the time on amazon.com I could very cheaply buy the Lifetime maps card for both Full Europe and USA/Canada. So every three months those gets updated now. The nice thing is that if I want to drive any other car when in USA, I have my own up to date Garmin. Was a bit joking Eric, I know that topic - I posted some answers in it about the Garmin VIB10/11 Interface... Gave her her post harvest wash. Never ceases to amaze me how well she comes up after 11 years and 140k!
Then went into town and got stuck in traffic behind this: Rubbish pic but I've never seen so much chrome on one car in my life! I didnt want to pull right up behind it in the traffic jam else I'd be blinded. Chrome alloys, handles, runners, light surrounds, mudflaps, you name it it had it! |

Installed AliveTuning Intercooler
Went from this (original intercooler, damaged, oil covered and not very good) Click image to enlarge To this. Click image to enlarge It took slightly longer then I'd hoped to do (2.5hrs) but only due to very rusty bolts and some misreading of the instructions. Test drove very nicely - I've lost almost all of the black smoke when pulling through gears and a lot better at going up hill. Very pleased. Defender 90 - Tomb Raider LE Discovery 5 HSE - yes, even despite the ugly backend. Range Rover 4.2SC - Gone and still being missed |

Dropped the Double Cab off at CSK for soundproofing. Good to meet Killer and have a ride in the white 90 (and thanks for the brew!) 2013 Defender 110 XS DCPU

Chris @ CSK's favourite job is sound proofing with all it's sharp edges.
Maybe he's learnt to wear gloves by now. |
