I don't know, but my thinking is: - if the motor "feels and sounds" happy, - if the performance is improved, - if the engine temperature does not increase, - and if the fuel consumption does not increase and even possibly drops there should not be any bad effect on the engine? OK, may be the increase in torque could have a negative effect on the transmission, but that is a question of using the vehicle properly I suppose? |

Did 200 km today, with about 1/3 off road (checking out a large property along the River Guardana). It is a different vehicle altogether. Your dreams come true. What the Defender should be out of the box. Not overdone. Just very nice to drive.
Like when you take out the plate at the back of the carburator of a Harley, or when you put a Screaming Eagle carb (I know that comment dates me a bit, it's all EFI on Harleys now.... ). |

Defender, Harley-Davidson: exactly the same concept. Same shape since conception, charisma, possibility to personalize, very high customer loyalty, performance simply adequate. Boldly going nowhere

HD is heavy to drive on the road (tried on our Alps, is like to drive a long truck) and impossible to drive off road, Defender is born to run off road.....
.....so HD is useless Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |
