I’m after the same as got damaged, I only really need one of the rubber light surrounds but would buy a full bar if necessary. Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |

I’d get in touch with the company if I were you, I think they are getting some of the kit off old Northern Ireland armoured police defenders. When I asked about some other bits it sounded like they had more sets. Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |

I would put the one on in the link, rather than a rubber one. People with think less likely to play funny , and they can take or of a whack too, as someone who it my dads defender 2 years ago found out. he was speeding in the car park and my mum clipped him, she moved forward out of the bay. Bull bar only got a few scrapes and that was it. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Insurance companies really don’t like the metal bull bars though, and as mine didn’t have one from factory I don’t really want to pay the extra insurance premium. Plus I prefer the look of the rubber one I have a brand new rubber one coming but without the headlight surround bits and I’ll just keep an eye out in case any ever come up for sale. Ray

I see what you mean but knowing how insurance companies really don’t like to pay out and knowing my luck they’d probably pester the selling dealer for A build sheet and tell me to do one Ray

Well...... I decided to take a more hands on approach to fixing her. So all the panels and bumper are (hopefully) getting painted this week as they are all at the bodyshop and other parts have arrived here.
Lots of new goodies to unbox Click image to enlarge If the weather is ok next week I should be starting bolting it all together. Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |

Isn’t laying ‘stuff’ out and looking at it, strangely pleasurable? Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Started a little prep work today getting ready for the new panels (there all in primer ready for some paint this week) pulled the old front out a bit to make removal easier and clipped the wheel arch back on so I can drive to pick up the panels in a day or two because the mrs is taking her motor to work this week. Then I removed the steering guard and front bumper to make a start on cleaning up the chassis and axle for some fresh paint and new wax which should be easier when the wings are off.

Some of the panels turned up today, should be getting the bumper and some other bits I’ve had painted black tomorrow then I need some good weather to get it all together. When it’s done the whole car is going in for the windscreen surround painting and the wings buffing, and probably a new screen putting in as the “repaired” chip is still visible and annoying.
