We'll see you there! Are you going with an organised group or four you've put together yourselves? |

We're all going with Mudruts. Don't have the time to organise ourselves and good to go as a group.
Where in Cornwall are you ? 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top |

Yep, i'm also heading up there with Landlord and Ian from Mudrut. Should be a great trip! Hopefully we'll be able to catch up with you on the ferry back for a few beers and some slideshows.

BPMan and I are going up there from the 3rd to the 17th Feb, we have not yet finished our route but it will include the ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo on the night of the 4th.

Went last year with Ian at Mudrut......wish I could spare the time to go again this year.....but Atlas and the Sahara call instead - 20 degrees of lattitude south rather than north.
I'll be keeping a watch over the various trip blogs Have fun on a proper adventure PS - if you're taking a TDCi don't forget to get the Arctic market sump breather pipe heating element - it is a necessity |

Really looking forward to the trip in Feb - Anyone travelling thru Norway in Dec/Jan/Feb will know the amount of preparation, budget and research required... Maybe we should all have a get together at Easter next year and share experiences ?

Trying to plan a trip. Mrs is up for the trip so been looking for realistic timescales and routes.
Really disappointed there isn't a Newcastle ferry anymore. I was contemplating going over new year. |

Our group is off to Wales for a weekend of planning, camping and chatting in early December. The trucks all seem to be almost ready for February, just odds and sods to do now.
Insulation, Servicing, Snow Tyres, Chains, Studs, bags, tents, heaters all pretty much in the bag now. We will be finalising the route and stops. |

It's a shame that the route isn't covered anymore but you're not missing much with regards the ship itself. I did a Norway trip about ten years ago and the ship was like a cross between a channel ferry and a trawler - it stank of fish and was full of Norwegions drinking and smoking themselves to oblivion on the (relatively) cheap fags and booze ![]() If we went again I quite fancy driving up through northern Europe and across the bridge to Sweden, although it would obviously need quite a lot more time. What is the usual route across the sea these days? Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? Harwich to Esbjerg for a sea crossing, or drive around via France / Belgium.
We are going Harwich to Esbjerg, then hopping on another ferry direct to Oslo and heading north from there, then a dash to the arctic circle. |

Blimey, that's quite a long route by comparison. Perhaps the Newcastle ferry is a bigger loss than I've given it credit for. Darren
