Afaik there is no fuel filter for the FBH as it comes straight off the tank. The FBH has its own fuel pick up. I'm planning to have another look this weekend to see if I can sort it out. 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

there is a tiny fuel filter on the end of the pump see the thermotop service manual section 8 "inspect fuel lines and fuel filter for leakage." |

It must be tiny, had a good look this week and couldn't find it. Will check again tomorrow and try to bleed the fuel system. 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

Crack open the inlet side of the fuel pump and there is a gauze filter in the pipe as it comes out of the pump.

Tim, you posted this a while back. I see from your website that you offer a complete fitting kit, including Webasto itself. Would you consider selling just the bracket alone for those of us cobbling something together? |

Hello,
I am trying to install a Air top 2000 at the place of the cubybox. if I think it will be ok for that after some modifications because the exhaust pipe is near a tube with diesel ... my question is about the connection for the diesel. I am afraid to cut the tube before the filter because : - the tube looks vey big and afraid to make a mistake with bad results for the engine - not sure there will be no air in the alimentation of the diesel pump of the engine the best way could be a connection on the tank but it will need to take it of an other way is a separate little tank ... if somebody have made it on a defender with the 2.2 engine 2012, thanks to help me regards, Philippe current : defender 110 sw 2.2 puma 2012 and 230.000km today and again my Range Rover VM2.5 engine from 1992 and 528.000km today. i considered all the options and in the end decided that dropping the tank and fitting the proper pick up was the way to do it, so went that route.
a smaller diesel tank would just be a pain. if you are plumbed into the engine supply and have a failure it could affect engine running. you can get a pickup that you fit in part of the filler neck with an arm that goes down to the tank, that would work. Hi Chaps
Can anyone give me some idea of the external surface temperature the Thremotop gets up to ? Might end up with a pipe close to/if not touching the metal section Thanks Regards Les |

So long as coolant is flowing through it then not much hotter than the coolant itself. |
