Security nuts
Does anyone know if this: http://www.devon4x4.com/index.php?option=c...;Itemid=14 Will fit on to this: http://www.firstfour.co.uk/item/1886734/de...overy-eyes The same bumper as I have. Reason for asking is there isn't a lot of room to fit full stop. So if anyone has any of these security nuts could I please have the dia / measurements.

Thumbs Up

Having the holes in I would have thought it was an easy job to chisel them off with a centre punch and hammer ?

I don't quite follow you? The bumper I have already has the holes in thats no problem. The nut size I also know which is no problem. All I want to check is that the outer diameter on the Security nuts as the area they will have to fit is fairly tight. It looks quite obvious that they are slightly wider than a regular hex nut. It's just the edges of the bumper bracket that get's in the way.

Just noticed your link. Trouble is with those is that it would be easier said than done to remove those as some times they do have to come off

Sorry, I haven't helped with your question regarding size Embarassed

What I meant was that having the holes in the nut (the holes that the 'security key' fits into) made it easy to undo them using a centre punch and hammer

Bob

Thanks Bob, Trouble is with the tool cost on top it's even more expensive. Anything is better than just the hex as it would be off in a matter on minutes if that Confused

Hi Steve

Off Topic

Different Thumbs Up

Custom made SS, no decat or centre box. Slightly (very) more expensive than off the shelf but I have been told it will sound good, ear defenders on order Laughing

EGR removed, all fluids changed, braided brake hoses, damn good service (I was told it was needed !) and front rear pinion leaks done. Rear X member not replaced now as I was told it has quite a few years left in it, just one area needed sorting. Bit of bulkead damage fixed plus a few other small jobs.

Should be mechanically sound when it comes back which is exactly what I wanted Thumbs Up

Two new doors sat here all sprayed ready to fit when it returns then the fun begins !!

Just got to source a new front and rear headling. Fingers crossed I have sourced front and rear brand new take off's, rear is with my source just waiting to see if they can get a front. Lot cheaper than Le Salle.

I was thinking about the EGR on a TD5, instead of removing all the bits, can you disable it by disconnecting the actuator pipes?
