It's about six weeks old, original lr part. I'll take it out and inspect it properly, is there anything I should be looking for? |

I'll try that. I didn't remove it completely from teh tank yesterday as I wasn't sure why it wasn't coming up easily, didn't want to damage it, I'll do it asap |

I've also removed the sender, not entirely from the tank but removed the ring and lifeted it up, it reads higher resistance at that point, 600ohms, but went back to the original stuck at 480ohms readi ... |

I've done that and it reads that same 480ohms at the sender unit itself |

No, 488ohms at the instrument panel and 484 at the sender. |

Thanks, I'll get to this asap. Update - Filled up yesterday, took 30 litres, gauge didn't move, still on 1/4 tank. |

Interesting, definetely not an empty tank though, there's at least 40 litres in there.
So a lower resistance would indicate more fuel, is that correct?

The sender unit is also new, just checked with the guy that fitted the new engine.
Tank was filled and has done around 150kms since.
How do I check for resitance?
