Exactly the same issue with my TD5 110 after fitting a recon gearbox with the V8 5th gear ratio. I fitted a speedo healer and it's been faultless since then. A bit more info here:

My original one has dissolved around the holes for the mounting bolts and is being held in situ by the fuel lines / the stone guard ... |

Just for my knowledge.
Speedo healer but not used to adjust the speedo. So what role is it used in here ? Presumably a 1.2box gives wrong output speed to a cruise unit and this adjist it?
