Agreed. Might be worth trying to re-route and extend the drain somehow.
After a long run in hot weather I can hear the water boiling off as it drips onto the gearbox. |

You might want to try reducing the glycol concentration in your coolant from 50% down to 40% or 30%. This will increase the heat transfer capacity of your cooling system.

Catalytic converters are really only to do with population health in built up areas anyway, nothing to do with climate change, just like DPF's and EGR.

Another benefit I can see from a decat is freeing up some realestate in the engine bay. Defenders, especially puma's, seem to suffer from an engine bay airflow restriction at highway speeds.

Mine is remapped with EGR disabled and big intercooler so far. |
