Exhaust questions
I am now running an empty original down pipe. It looks like a dpf but is just an empty shell. The rest of the exhaust is standard at the minute. I want to get it a little more free flowing and a better note without breaking the bank. Considering most of the silencing is done in the dpf if I now go straight through with off the shelf pipes will it be too loud. Has anybody done this ie og empty dpf ,2.5 in straight pipe replacement centre section, and the readily available 3in rear section or the original rear section with small silencer in.

I run an empty DPF, straight through stainless centre section and a standard stainless rear silencer.

There is a very slight increase in noise - with a little 'bark' when rev'd up, I would have thought either a 3" rear silencer or no rear silencer would be OK

Both. It’s now just a shell. Essentially straight through.

That sounds like what I’m looking for. I’ll change the centre section then the rear section if I don’t get the results I’m after
Thanks for the replies
