vehicles generally brake harder on the front than the rear as weight transfers to the front when braking, hence why in most cases front brakes are bigger than rear brakes, hence wouldn't be surprised that front brakes are hotter DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Sounds normal and it’s best to let them cool for 10mins before you touch them. Do you have an issue that has made you ask this specific question Ride like you stole it!! If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do… 2011 2.4 Puma 90 HT |

Curiously on my Puma 110 after any significant run the rear hubs are warm to the touch but the fronts have no discernible warmth at all. I've never really understood why. There is no significant weight difference between the axles (around 200lbs), brakes and wheel bearings are all good, and it has always been like this. I can only conclude that the fronts dissipate heat better than the rears.
