Clutch slave cylinder leak. Gearbox out!
My 2009 20k mile puma clutch slave cylinder has decided to leak...

I'm in the process of getting the gearbox out to fix it.

Any tips on getting the downpipe and cat out? Seems that the chassis rail is in the way?

Any other tricky bits, I will run into?

If you have front antiroll bars, remove it and you should be able to make some twists to remove the can. I remember it was a bit of a pig. Puma 110" SW

OK, I'll look at taking the front ARB off. So the downpipe may need to be rotated a lot to get the cat out?

yes, rotated.

Try to get the LOF kit that comes with a better quality friction plate and bearing/slave cylinder. Puma 110" SW

Yes, already spoken to LOF about their kits. Will look at replacing the intermediate shaft too.

Got the CAT out. I took off the lower heat shield and it pretty much came straight out after rotating about 90 degrees.

Didn't need to take off the ARB.

Next issue is the mid silencer box flange nuts, or rather rusty nubs... oh joy...

If you plan to remove the spigot bearing, try to get the ad-hoc tool. Otherwise is painful to remove it. Puma 110" SW

Don't forget to inspect and lubricate the infamous output adaptor shaft coupling.

I guess the bread/grease trick doesn't work with Puma spigot bearings then?

It works. Or you may need a small and sharp chisel to break the bearing apart. Puma 110" SW
