No power to glow plugs
Hi all.

Got a strange one with the glow plugs not getting any power. The fault code p037d “glow plug relay sense circuit (permenant) signal failure.

The things I have checked so far are:

Continuity between the relay earth that goes to the engine ECU plug (good continuity)
Power on the main feed from the big fuse - I get 12v here until I turn the ignition on, then it falls to 0.
The small wire which runs to the ecu which is the switching earth as far as I am aware does not give continuity to the vehicle when ignition on - so it would appear that the ecu is not earthing this switch for the relay? I can feel the relay click when the timer runs out.

No power at all coming out the pin that feeds the glow plugs c

Not sure if related but the air con fan on the front of the truck comes on almost immediately after startup, with the ac switched off.

Engine temperatures in the diagnostic appear normal and match outside temperature.

Any help here appreciated as I am baffled! Cheers

Hi,
Yes I have indeed.

Have swapped the two relays around. Checked every fuse. Nothing out of the ordinary.
